So, we are big Steelers fans here at our house and we were so excited when they pulled off a win on Sunday.  Plus, Brooke sent me this cute layout made with our Touchdown kit and I did a couple new layouts with it also.

Kit Freebie - Xtreme Sports

I'm down by 25 votes this morning, but I'm still keeping hope that troops will be rallied before 10 am and I can pull ahead.  If not, I'm worried I'll get voted off and not get to do the final week.  I hope I can though because I have had so much fun and learned so many things!  It has been a great experience and I'd love to continue to the finals! 

In the meantime.........my main challenge this week was to create a kit with the theme of Sports and the style of Grungy, plus they gave me the colors I had to work with.  I didn't really want to go the route of football, basketball, baseball because I wanted something different.  Heidi suggested motocross and so this Xtreme Sports kit evolved from that suggestion.  I really like how it turned out and hope some of you find it useful.

Downloads will be available thru the weekend and then we will be making it into a full sized kit for the store.  Right now it has a full alpha, 12 papers and 30 elements, so it is a pretty good sized kit anyway.

I Wish I Was A Fish

The July color challenge at Stuff to Scrap had some fun colors this month that reminded me of the pool.  So, I made a little mini pool kit for you all.  If you haven't checked out the Color Challenge, you should.  There will be free mini kits there all month long that you can pick up to coordinate with this one.  You can join in by making your own mini or use the mini's provided and make a layout for points.  Great way to earn a gift card.  LINKS ARE NOW EXPIRED BUT YOU CAN PICK THE KIT UP IN THE STORE HERE.

We Are Skyhawks collab MINI freebie

So, those of you that have been following my blog regularly know that me and my digi-scrapping friends do a collab kit every month and we all make little mini's and share with each other. A few of us share our parts on our blogs for the rest of the world too. Since most of us in the group have kids or grandkids that go to the same high school, this month we decided to take the school colors and make a collab with that to scrap all of our kids in sports, drama, choir, band, you get the idea.

That being the case, most of you won't have a need for this kit, but I did decide to share it because a lot of my elements are not necessarily school specific and I thought you could just delete the files for the ones that are specific to our school. The papers are great to use for other things too.

So, my challenge to you is to be creative with this mini kit. Do a layout with the papers and generic embellishments that isn't a school layout. Or use the metal embellishments with papers from someone elses kit that match your own school's colors. If you post your layout in the slideshow at the bottom of my blog and send me an email to lori@loaner.net saying that you did, I will enter everyone in a drawing for a coupon for my store on December 1st. We have some adorable Christmas kits that will be going in this month that you may want to snag, so here is your chance. I want at least 5 entries total in order to do the drawing so feel free to blog about this yourself and send all your friends to enter!
