As many of you know, I made a goal this year to scrapbook 1 recipe per week for a family cookbook. We are now in Week 12 and this is my 12th page! It has been so fun to work with her but with all of my designing and store and forum responsibilities, and since she puts out so many kits per month, I needed to slow down the pace. I'm on the lookout for another CT position though with fewer kits because I can't give it up altogether. Stay tuned!

I did two layouts. I took the young women's class I am over at church to a local nursing home last week to decorate cookies with the residents there. It was fun and we all got our fill of cookies! Some of those residents are so funny. We've been there a couple times for different activities.

Laurie's Scraps New Template Set

Laurie has a brand new template set out. I had a lot of fun with this set and was able to scrap the last of my Christmas pictures with it. I used her kit Tis The Season for these layouts and the word art on the 2nd one is from Elegant Word Art. I used the first template and the last template. One of them is turned on its side and I put paper in a couple of places that are meant for photos. See how versatile they are! Now I am totally done scrapping pictures from 2009! Woo Hoo. Have you missed me? I was gone to my scrapping weekend with my buddies and me and one other person were in charge of the food for the weekend for 20 people, so I've been a little pre-occupied. I got all my digi files organized though, so I should be much more efficient now.

Laurie's New Template Set

Laurie's Scraps has a lot going on this week. She is going to concentrate on her new personal store so she is closing everything out at Ahhh Scrap thru the end of the year. You can get her stuff for 50% off which is a great deal! Flyer above is linked to the store

She has a new template set out that was so much fun to work with. They are all similar but different and I love the look of the layouts I was able to make with them. Preview above is linked to her blog.

This is my grandpa, my dad, my brother, and my brother's little boy. Always fun to have 4 generation pictures. I used Laurie's kit Leapin Lil Frogs. The other layout I did was my son at the wax museum that the 5th grade does every year. They have to read a book on a historical figure, do a report and a summary sheet, and then they have to dress up and make a display. Then they invite the other grades in and the parents can come. They sit still for 15 minutes and then have a 5 minute break and do it all morning until lunch. It is always fun to see them dressed up. My son was Albert Einstein (without the moustache) because I was out of town and dad had to do it all. My husband thought he looked more like Marilyn Monroe than Albert Einstein. That made me laugh! I used Laurie's Little Learner kit for this layout.

Snow Angel freebie

Laurie's Scraps has done it again. Another fun beautiful kit called Snow Angels. I love this color of blue for winter layouts and the variety of sparkles and snowflakes in this kit are so fun. I made an invitation to an activity at church with this kit. Everyone loved it! I used one of Lauries Scraps card templates to make the invitation also. You can also pick up her card template pack at her store.

In addition to the invitation, I also did a two page layout with some pictures from last winter. I love how it turned out. The alpha in this kit is one of my favorites that she has made!

Yes, we have been struck at our house. My middle son contracted the swine flu and got so dehydrated he had to be hospitalized.
