September Blog Train is at the station!!

All the chatter in the forum is that people are pretty excited about this blog train!  It was definitely a fun one and we like how our little mini turned out.  There were lots of pattern papers in everyone elses kits, so we stuck with plain papers and hopefully some fun elements for you!

Still in the running.........

I didn't win immunity as you all know, but I didn't get eliminated either!  YAY for me and for you!!!!  I've been working really hard on my kit for this week and I hope all of you like it.  I started over 3 different times but I think I finally got it right.  Stay tuned.................... cause it will be a freebie for a bit once I get it posted and I'll need you to all vote for me again this week  PLEASE!!!!   I'll let you know when.

So, I totally spaced that I was going to link you up to my freebie kit that I designed for Week 4 of the designer contest.  We had to create a monochromatic kit with 10 papers, 20 elements, and an alpha.  We couldn't use any CU items other than if we had won some as reward in the contest, we could use that but the rest had to be on our own.  I love how mine turned out and it will be free through the weekend.  You can click the download link above to get it and then CLICK HERE to see if there are any of the other kits you want for free.

Speed Scrap on Friday

So, in case you all are wondering, I didn't win the voting but I so much appreciate all of your votes.  You are all awesome!  I may have to call on you again next week.  I'll have to wait and see if I get eliminated this week or not since I don't have the safety of immunity.  They are cutting the group in half, so we'll have to see who makes it through.

So, that means you don't all get the freebie kit.  But, we are making it into a full kit and it is so cute! You should see the hamburger I just made.  It will be in the store and we will put it as the $2 Tuesday special for a couple weeks so you can all get it for a great deal.  It is one you won't want to miss out on.

Voting Stats

Well, I'm at 64 and the leader at 102, so I don't think I'm going to make it unless there is some super rally between now and 10 am MST.  But I am still making the kit and will put it in the store at a really good deal if I don't happen to pull ahead.  It really is turning out cute!  It has cupcakes and pies and fruits and veggies and more kitchen appliances, plus appetizers and drinks and an apron and so much more!

Week 4 voting and some freebies from our CT!

Well, it is week 4 of the designer contest and I need votes more than ever this week.  This week we are flying solo, so your votes go just to me this time, not to my team.  If I win the voting, I get immunity and get to move on to the final week.  It has been really fun!
Our main challenge this week was to make a monochromatic kit.  I think mine turned out beautiful and can’t wait to show it to you tomorrow.  Plus, you will all get to download it for free!
Our immunity challenge this week was to take inspiration from this magazine cover and create 2 papers and 3 elements.

Almost everyone ended up either doing dog kits or pink kits, BUT, since my other hobby is cooking, the SUPER CHEF article on the front caught my eye.  So my mini mini is a Super Chef kit. 

I’m planning on making this kit into either a full mini or maybe even a full sized kit.  It was so fun and I had a really hard time narrowing down my elements, so there are a couple extra in there and more to come!

$2 Tuesday

So, my boys start back to school today.  If we had a back to school kit, I’d put it in the $2 bin for you today, but we don’t have one……yet!  But, we do have a graduation kit and since most people are behind on scrapping anyway, we figured it would be a good idea to put it in the $2 bin this week.  So you can get Graduation Day along with it’s QP pack for only $2 each.  If you have some suggestions for what you want to see in the $2 bin coming up, just leave a comment and let us know!  Images are linked to the sales

Baptism Day Kit release

We have a straight to store collab kit release for you this morning.  Becky from our CT picked a color scheme and kit theme for her CT kit from us and then decided she wanted to do it as a collab with us.  So, you can get two awesome parts of this kit!
The kit is called Baptism Day.  Becky, Heidi and I are all members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints  (LDS church) which you can learn more about here if you are interested.  In our church, children are baptized when they are 8 years old, when they are old enough to know how to make decisions and how to tell right from wrong.  This baptism kit is beautiful and works well for both boys and girls.  We hope you like it.  Here is a preview of our part of the kit.  Aren’t those little baptism children adorable?  And you can use this kit for more than just baptism, which you will see shortly.  Images are linked to the store and the kit is on sale for $2.50 this week.
