Speed Scrap Monday and Template Challenge with Sweet Springtime

It is time for another Speed Scrap at Stuff to Scrap. This on is on Monday and I totally love this word art so I might have to sneak in late after Family Night just so I can get the prize! I do have a freebie for you today also. Summer at Summertime Designs made this kit last year I think. It is called Sweet Springtime and I loved it for my Mother's Day pictures this year. I entered the layout in the Template Challenge at Stuff to Scrap and decided to make it into a QP for you! You score because it was a double template. You still have the weekend that you can enter the challenge also if you would like. It is fun!!!! Template is from Nibbles Skribbles.

Last but not least, here is our new kit that goes into the store sometime this weekend! It is so fun and my favorite so far! Apples and Almonds

Or is it Almonds and Apples? I almost forgot I promised you a QP this week while all of the designers were on vacation, so here it is. Summertime Designs has the most wonderful kits and this is my favorite of hers! I love these colors. I got this layout printed last week and it is beautiful! Wow, that was a tough decision, I really thought we would only have 2 or 3 applications since we are such new designers, but the response was amazing! Thanks to all of you who applied even if we had to say no to some of you. It was a really hard choice, you are all so talented. SO watch for chances to be guest designers coming up!

Smile and a Speed Scrap

Above is Digi-Designs by Nicole's latest store kit. It is called Smile and is going straight to her store. It is a fun kit with really cool little arrows. The arrows were my favorite part. So funny story about my layout. Yes, I scrapped about my printer. I got this printer 10 years ago from First Indiana Bank when I started as an account rep for them. All I had to do in the 10 years I had it was change out the toner cartridges. It never skipped a beat and it printed a lot of paper. In this day and age when printers are pretty much disposable and only last a year or two, I was thankful to have this one for 10 years with no maintenance. It printed over 350,000 pieces of paper. WOW! So, it was a sad day when it finally died. It actually was still working, but it was making a horrible screeching sound that I couldn't stand. My wonderful hubby found me another one just like it on Ebay, so hopefully I'll get some more dependable years from my new/used one. LOL! I had to take pictures before we got rid of it and of course had to scrap about "Old Reliable".

Scrappy Cocoa is hosting the speed scrap this Wednesday. I so wish I could make it because I love the alpha that is the participation prize. Hope you guys can make it!

Watch Me Grow - Girl

Laurie's Scraps has a cute new girly kit out called Watch Me Grow. It has fun stuff to scrap the milestone's in your little girls life. The papers are darling. I almost didn't download this to work on because it was girly, but I took some pictures of my niece last weekend, so I did have some material to work with. Click on the preview above to download the free QP. I didn't use a template this time, instead I made the QP from the layout I did at the speed scrap at Stuff to Scrap last Thursday. It was a blast!

I recolored her clips in her hair to match the paper more closely and also made her eyes more blue, although I don't think you can tell on this tiny picture.

More pictures of my cute niece above. She has all of the sudden become really social and talkative. She used to just cling to her mom and didn't want anything to do with anyone else, but she had to show and tell me all about her new makeup kit.

It is called "Kristine" and is in tribute to her mother who was just diagnosed with a very agressive form of cancer recently. Darling Buds of May

DigiDesigns by Nicole has done another collab with Vicki from A Work in Progress. They have a fun bright Spring kit that I just couldn't resist doing a girlie layout with. It is called "Darling Buds of May". Make sure you make it to both of their blogs to pick up all the parts of ths kit from both of them. You will love all of the fun bright colors and you will especially love the alphas, I loved both of them so I used them both on my layout!

This is my cousins daughter. She has 3 brothers so when we go camping with them with their 3 boys and our 3 boys, she is the only girl in the bunch but she can definitely hold her own riding the 4wheelers. She has a hot pink helmet that I loved with these papers. Here she is in all her glory covered in mud splatters!
