Funky Love 2

Today you get this page from AMber's half of the collab with Nicole for Funky Love. Again, I loved the colors in this kit. I thought it was a very fun Valentine's kit. I think throwing the green in there made it for me! Oh, and it has 2 alphas! The template I used for this one is from Andrea Gold and you can click on the preview to download. Actually, I left the basic QP kind of basic, but look how cute the layout is!!

This layout is my BIL's engagement photo and I thought it worked great with this kit. Thanks Troy and Lisa for letting me use your photo so I could have one with pink in it! And don't you just love overlays?? That is one thing you can't do with traditional scrapbooking!

Don't forget Nicole's speed scrap tomorrow night! I'm going to try my darndest to be there. Scroll down to my last post to find out where to get the details.
Thanks again to all of you who make comments and click on my ads. The comments make my day!

Funky Love

Even though this kit has pink and purple, I love, love, love it! I think it is such a cute Valentine's kit. This is Nicole and Amber's latest collab and I had a lot of fun with it. Here is the first QP from Nicole's 1/2 of the kit even though it is only Monday because I just couldn't wait to post it. Check out her blog for more great layout ideas with this fun kit!

This layout is of my cute little niece who was not having a good day when I was trying to do their family photo shoot. Even with candy as a bribe and her favorite aunt trying to help get her smile, all I got was tears.

Check back later in the week for the QP from Amber's 1/2 of the kit.

Nicole's forum is having another speed scrap on Thursday night, see below for the details and the participation prize. Click here for the details.

Last thing, I got an another award from Nicole, isn't it cute?

For this award I'm nominating the following for giving great freebies

Pirate Princess

Nicole's latest kit is out now! It is called Pirate Princess and was inspired by her recent trip to DisneyWorld. It is a great kit, although my layout is neither pirate-y or princess-y. I think this QP will be great for any B&W photos you have.

The layout is of my son on Christmas morning with the only thing on his list - an accoustic guitar like his Dad's.

Don't forget Nicole's Speed Scrap today. I wish I wasn't working and could participtate in it. Check my previous post for details.

Forever, Speed Scrap, and an award

Good morning! Charlie has a new kit out this week. Actually she started releasing it last week, but Monday is my day for her on my blog and I didn't get my layout done until over the weekend, so you get it today. This is a lovely kit and I thought it worked beautifully with my heritage album I am doing. Template is from Andrea Gold.
This layout is a picture of my maternal Grandmother. Isn't that such a cute picture of her on that little trike?! Word Art is from Bethany

I'm really bummed that I didn't make the Speed Scrap that Nicole did on Friday. I had it on my calendar and everything. And I really wanted her prize.

By the way, she is having another one tomorrow. Go here to find out the details.
Here is her participation prize. You have to love black and white, it goes with almost anything.

I received this award from my good friend Kara who has an awesome cooking blog. I'll have to post the rules and details later because my phone is ringing off the hook but I wanted to get this page up for you.

Someone To Love and Speed Scrap

Amber has a beautiful new kit out for ADOPTION. She worked together with Kathy on her creative team for colors and inspiration. Because of the special nature of this kit and because I haven't adopted but I wanted to stick with the theme, I decided to do a brag book for adopting mothers instead of doing a layout. I have a few friends that are in the process of adopting babies, so I thought this would be fun for them. Amber gave her ok and this is what I came up with. Even though it is an adoption kit, the word art and everything work with things other than adoption too! I did it in 5 x 7 size, but you can easily resize to 4 x 6 and not have a problem. Click on the preview to download. You can get the kit free this week.
Nicole is hosting her very own speed scrap on Friday. Click on the flyer to go to her blog for the details. It is really fun and her participation prize is great!!
Here is the participation prize. You can use this stuff with any kits out there! So versatile!

I'm probably going to be hit and miss on my blog here for a while. I am a contract loan processor and I currently have 106 loan files in process with more coming every day, so I'm going to do my assignments for the creative teams I am on, but I don't know how many extra I can get to you until I slow down or get some help! So, as long as they are releasing new kits every week, you should at least get 3 a week. Thanks for bearing with me.

Love Notes

Here is Nicole's latest kit called Love Notes. I had a hard time with this one because it is pretty girly, but I was able to use the browns and tans and come up with a layout and a QP for you that I could still use with my boys. It is pretty generic, so you should be able to use it with lots of different pictures. Hope you like! I ended up having fun with this kit!

This is my son at his Christmas guitar concert for his guitar class he has been taking this year at school. He is really getting quite good and I have another layout of his guitar coming up soon. They played 4 songs as a class and then combined with orchestra and choir to do We Wish You A Merry Christmas at the end of the concert.

So here is a bit of trivia about me. K, those of you that know me know that I am a fanatic about "So You Think You Can Dance". Well, yesterday, my boys stayed after school to do some missing assignments and I had to run by Wal-Mart to grab a few things on the way home. They went their way to find treats and I went to find the groceries I needed. When I was done and checked out, I was walking out and there was this guy that I almost bumped into as I was texting my boys to find out where they were and he was getting a sticker on his items he was returning. I thought he looked familiar but couldn't place him right away. my middle son texted me back that he needed my ID for the thing he was returning so I turned around and went to customer service. So this guy that I bumped into was behind me in line and I figured out who it was. It was Thayne from "So You Think You Can Dance". So I turn to him and say, "Hey, you were on So You Think You Can Dance weren't you?" He smiled and said yes and I told him that I had watched him and that he was one of my favorites. My kids thought I was a total geek.

All Boy

This is one of my most favorite kits. It is Nicole's All Boy kit and I totally love it. Maybe it is because I have all boys at my house. I love all the colors and the embellishments are so cute for little boys. I also loved the alpha. I even used Nicole's template from her template challenge for my layout. She has a new template challenge going on, so make sure you check out her blog. You can click on the preview for the download.
This picture is of my adorable little drooling nephew. Isn't he adorable!

Sorry I was late today, but at least you get something. I'll be back on Monday. See you then.

Big Top

Amber just released this kit last night, so you are getting my QP at the beginning of her release instead of at the end. How about that! This is an old fashioned looking circus kit that was really fun to work with. So, run over there now and get her fun kit. Click on my preview to download the QP.

Here is my layout. The colors struck me as Lego colors as soon as I opened it and so I used these pictures of my youngest with his new Indiana Jones Lego set he got for Christmas. He spent the morning putting it together according to the instruction booklet. These aren't traditional Lego colors because it is Indiana Jones, but I thought the layout turned out cute anyway. I love how Amber always has great ways to date your pictures with all of her fun date stamp ideas.

Don't forget about the speed scrap that Nicole is hosting TODAY! See my previous post for details.

Rustic Flowers

Here is your QP for today. This is from one of Laurie's older kits called Rustic Flowers. I love the deep colors in it. You can click here to find out how to get this kit. The template is from Haynay. You can click on the preview to get to the download. This is the layout I did with it. The picture is of my in-laws in front of our tree at the family Christmas party. Their anniversary is then and I think they skipped celebrating it to come watch the chaos of us trying to put on the Nativity with a bunch of kids 5 and under. It was hilarious. The Word Art on this layout is from Bethany.
Nicole is hosting a Speed Scrap on January 8th. Click below to go to her blog to get the details. If you have never done one before, you should try it out. It is an adrenalin rush and lots of fun.

This is the cute participation prize you get if you do it. And it's free!!

Outdoor Adventures

This is Nicole's newest kit. I love it because we love outdoor adventures. We love to go camping and fishing and hunting and I always have tons of pictures from these outings to scrap. The template is from Andrea Gold and I did this one as one that you put your pictures on top instead of on an underneath layer. I hope you like it! Click on the preview to download.

Here is a preview of the whole kit you can get at Nicole's blog. She also has a new template challenge going on so be sure to try it out.

And here is my layout with it. Isn't he so cute with his fish?! He has his own tacklebox and everything.

Jaimee's Garden

So, did you miss me? I missed you and all of your comments! It is good to be back. I process loans from home and it has been crazy over the last few weeks, so I wasn't bored by any means. I did get about 1 1/2 weeks worth of QPs done. Not as many as I wanted to have ready, but a good start.

Today's QP is from Charlie's new kit named after her daughter. It has lots of funky flowers and stuff in it so check out her site for how to get the kit that she is giving you the chance to win for free! This QP is pretty plain and basic, but you can add your own embellishments, title, and/or word art to it along with your pictures. Template is from Shazbutt. You can click on the preview for download if you are new or if you forgot since it has been so long since I have posted.

Here is a preview for the full kit

These are pictures from when we went to do service at the church dairy. They supply milk to for milk, cheese, and ice cream for the church welfare system and we have the opportunity to go there a couple of times a year to help out with whatever needs done from shoveling manure, to pulling weeds.
Now for my exciting news! If you look at the top of my sidebar, I'm selling my kits in a store now. How cool is that? I only have two in there right now, but my sister and I are going to start to design kits together (probably only about 1 a month) and I am so excited to be designing with her. She is very creative and already has a ton of ideas, so watch for that as soon as we find time to get going on it. The store is having a grand opening sale and you can save 20% on kits from all of the designers. So what are you waiting for, click on the link in my sidebar and go see what they have. See below for the coupon code to get the discount.
